Drones attacked the Neftegorsk gas processing plant in the Samara region, causing a major fire.
The attack was confirmed by the governor of the Samara region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev.
The drones struck the plant on the night of February 21, just as a drone threat had been declared in the region.
After the explosions, photos and videos appeared online from the Neftegorsk gas processing plant, which was engulfed in flames. The plant is located at the following coordinates: 52.872632539356864, 51.217018002662385
“Tonight, the enemy [Ukraine] struck two industrial sites in the region,” Fedorishchev wrote.
The plant processes associated petroleum gas from fields in the Volga region, primarily from Samara Oil and Gas assets. The plant’s design capacity is 0.7–0.75 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
Together with the Otradnensky Gas Processing Plant, it forms Rosneft’s Samara gas processing hub with a total capacity of over 1.5-1.9 billion cubic meters per year.
Earlier, Militarnyi reported that the Unmanned Systems Forces, in cooperation with the Special Operations Forces and the Main Intelligence Directorate, carried out an attack on the Russian oil and petroleum products export terminal Tamanneftegaz in Krasnodar territory.
