DIU Servicemen Capture Invaders who Infiltrated Village of Andriivka-Klevtsove

The Ukrainian Defense Forces captured two Russian invaders who tried to install the Russian flag in the village of Andriivka-Klevtsove in the Donetsk region.

According to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Russian propaganda is actively using new tactics to spread disinformation. It is about staged ‘seizures’ of settlements.

In order to do this, the enemy sends small sabotage groups with Russian flags to try to bypass the positions of Ukrainian defenders.

In case of successful penetration, they shoot short videos with the Russian flag. Such videos are distributed in propaganda media as ‘evidence’ of the advance of Russian troops.

Recently, a similar incident occurred in the village of Andriivka-Klevtsove, which until 2024 was called Iskra.

Two groups of invaders infiltrated there. One of them was destroyed by Ukrainian defenders, and the other was captured.

The operation to neutralize the enemy was carried out by the soldiers of the 5th Heavy Mechanized Brigade together with the soldiers of the Russian Volunteer Corps. This unit of Russian volunteers is fighting as part of the Ukrainian ‘Tymur Special Forces’ of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

Thanks to the coordinated actions of the Ukrainian soldiers, it was possible not only to eliminate the threat, but also to obtain new prisoners for further exchange.

The DIU emphasized that such information provocations by Russia were aimed at creating the illusion of ‘success’ at the front and demoralizing Ukrainian society.

Andriivka-Klevtsove is located on the administrative border of the Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

For the Russian invaders, the capture of this village could have propaganda value, as it would allow them to declare that they had reached the administrative border of the Donetsk region.

A similar incident has recently occurred in the village of Zelenyi Hai. Then the Bratstvo Battalion eliminated the invaders, who also tried to install a Russian flag on Ukrainian positions.
