DIU: Russia carries out special operation involving trophy weapons in Gaza Strip

Russian special services are conducting a campaign to discredit Ukraine in the Middle East.

They spread lies about the alleged “Ukrainian weapons” of Hamas militants.

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine made such a statement on Monday, October 9.

Thus, the Russian special services are trying to use the attack of the Palestinian Hamas terrorists on the State of Israel for a large-scale provocation against Ukraine.

According to intelligence, the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation has already handed over to Hamas the trophy weapons captured during the hostilities in Ukraine, which were made in the United States and the European Union.

The next step, according to the plan of the Russians, is to falsely accuse the Ukrainian military of allegedly selling Western weapons to terrorists on a regular basis.

The DIU emphasizes that as part of the Kremlin’s disinformation campaign, these fakes are supposed to form the basis of a series of “exposés” and “investigations” in the Western media.

According to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, the Russian intelligence services intend to use relevant comments of the traitor of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Senior Lieutenant Ruslan Syrovy, who recently fled to Moscow, to appear convincing.

It is emphasized that another Russian provocation is aimed at discrediting the Armed Forces of Ukraine and completely stopping military assistance from Western partners, which is necessary to counter the Russian invasion.

On Saturday, October 7, approximately 1,000 militants of the Palestinian Hamas movement attacked Israel in several places in the south from the air, sea, and land.

The Israeli government officially declared a state of war. The army launched a large-scale Operation Iron Swords. It is currently known that more than 700 people were killed in the militants’ attack.

Reservists have been mobilized in the country, and the Air Force has been conducting air strikes on Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip. Inside the country, the search for terrorists who might have remained after the attack is underway.
