The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has published the detailed structure and foreign components of the new Russian cruise missile Izdelie-30.
This was reported by the War & Sanctions portal, where intelligence officers posted an interactive 3D model of the missile and a list of 20 manufacturing companies.
The enemy weapon has a wingspan of about 3 meters, a warhead weighing 800 kg, and a flight range of at least 1,500 km.
The first cases of this weapon being used against Ukraine were recorded at the end of last year. Experts have identified the product as a development of the Zvezda Design Bureau, which is part of the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation.
The design of the Izdelie-30 has many features in common with other products of the enemy’s military-industrial complex. In particular, the pyrovalve of the pneumatic system is completely identical to the elements of the Kh-35U missile, and the ejection device is similar to the systems of the Kh-101 and Kh-55 aviation missiles.
The missile’s navigation system combines products from two different Russian companies for the first time to increase resistance to interference. The developers integrated the Kometa-M12 satellite signal receiver and a computing unit based on the foreign NAVIS NR9 receiver.
In addition, the missile uses an 8-bit register manufactured in Belarus, as well as a transceiver, memory chips, a clock multiplier, and linear drivers from the United States. The 32-bit binary counter, digital-to-analog and analog-to-digital converters, and DC converter are also of American origin.
The manufacturer imports a current converter, GNSS module, and voltage regulator from Switzerland. In addition, the Izdelie-30 contains a four-channel buffer from the Netherlands and a MOS transistor from the PRC.
The electronic control unit of the BUB-30 warhead operates on a Russian 32-bit microcontroller with ARM architecture. Despite attempts at import substitution, the enemy continues to depend on foreign technologies in key guidance components.
Interestingly, the name Izdelie-30 previously appeared as the designation for the second-stage engine for the fifth-generation Su-57 fighter.
At the same time, information appeared about an order for another secret model — Izdelie 506 (Kh-BD). This missile is intended to replace the Kh-101 in the arsenal of the Russian Aerospace Forces’ strategic aviation.
MKB Raduga has already received an order to supply 32 such missiles in 2024 and 2026 in conventional and nuclear versions. The cost of one Kh-BD unit is estimated at 337 million rubles, which is approximately $4.2 million.
