On the night of June 26, operators of the Unmanned Systems Department of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) conducted a successful operation in occupied Crimea.
The reconnaissance unit hit a Russian MiG-29 fighter jet, the agency reported.
The operation was carried out at Belbek military airfield near Sevastopol.
In addition to the aircraft, drone operators destroyed an airfield launch unit that was servicing the aircraft at the time of the strike. The vehicle is used to start aircraft engines and check onboard systems.
Russian forces are actively using MiG-29 fighters for air defense over the peninsula.
Earlier, Ukrainian Defense Intelligence forces targeted the Russian Kasta radar station, two freight locomotives, and fuel tank cars across three railway trains in Crimea.
Six fuel tanker trucks and military equipment on one of the trains were also hit.
