Repeaters used by the Russian military to control strike drones attacking Ukraine have stopped operating in Belarus.
This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in comments to journalists, according to Novyny.LIVE.
According to the head of state, as of June 22, the systems in question were no longer operating on Belarusian territory.
At the same time, the Ukrainian side does not yet know whether the repeaters have been fully dismantled.
“Whether they have been dismantled or not, I do not know yet,” the president said.
Zelensky added that the relevant agencies continue to work on clarifying the situation.
On June 19, the head of state said that if Belarus truly did not want to participate in the war, it should remove the repeaters, otherwise “Ukraine will do it.”
“When Mr. Lukashenko says that he does not want to be drawn into this war, he must be honest, at least to his people. Because it is not he who can be drawn into the war. It is his entire country that can be drawn into it. Drawn into it by Russia,” Volodymyr Zelensky said.
According to the president, one week would be sufficient for Alexander Lukashenko to remove the equipment if he truly did not want to participate in the war.
Russia’s use of Belarusian territory to control Shahed-type strike drones during attacks on Ukraine first became publicly known in January 2026.
In February, the international intelligence community InformNapalm, together with the analytical cyber center Fenix, gained access to accounts used by Russian military personnel and obtained data from monitoring systems used by drone operators.
As of March 2026, four such stations had been identified in Belarus, and information was obtained about Russian plans to deploy additional equipment.
