Ukrainian strike drones struck the Omsky kauchuk petrochemical plant—one of Russia’s largest manufacturers of synthetic rubber. A massive fire broke out on the plant’s grounds. The Ozon logistics center in Omsk was also hit.

Video footage of the damage to the plant was published by the Exilenova+ community.

Local authorities also confirmed the attack, acknowledging that drones had reached Omsk’s northern industrial hub. Vitaliy Khotsenko, governor of the Omsk region, stated: “Enemy UAVs have reached the northern industrial hub. Emergency services are on the scene.”

Omsky kauchuk is a major petrochemical enterprise of the Titan Group and one of the largest producers of synthetic rubbers in Russia. In the first nine months of 2024, the company accounted for 25% of Russia’s production of butadiene-methylstyrene rubbers (SKMS).

Synthetic rubbers are one of the key components of high-energy solid rocket propellants used to power ballistic missiles.

The plant is also a major producer of the fuel additive MTBE, which is used to increase the octane rating of gasoline, as well as phenol and acetone.

This is the second rubber plant to be struck on October 24, 2026. Earlier that morning, Ukrainian drones attacked the Tolyattikauchuk petrochemical plant in the city of Tolyatti, the Samara region, Russia.

In addition, eyewitnesses reported a fire at the logistics center of the company Ozon in Omsk. The complex handles the receipt, storage, picking, and shipment of goods, so its shutdown could disrupt Ozon’s regional logistics operations.

A significant amount of military equipment, optics, drones, and components are sold through the marketplace’s network. According to a study by Verstka, from August 2025 through July 2026, the volume of orders for military and dual-use goods exceeded 25 billion rubles.
