Over the past 90 days, the USA has provided Ukraine with only 24 anti-aircraft missiles for the Patriot air defense system and has been delaying the approval of deliveries of missiles that have already been paid for.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this in an interview with ABC News.

“In the early days of the war in the Middle East, countries used about 2,000 missiles in the first 48 hours. In the first 48 hours—2,000 missiles that they received from their partners. However, I did receive 24 missiles from our strategic partner over the past 90 days,” he said.

The president also confirmed reports that the U.S. is delaying the signing of documents for the delivery of interceptor missiles that Europe has already funded.

“Hegseth has contracts for Patriot missiles on his desk. He isn’t signing them,” said one Ukrainian official in a comment to The Kyiv Independent, adding that Kyiv’s allies have already paid for these missiles.

Officials cited the likely delay as yet another example of political pressure that could endanger the lives of civilians.
