Atlant Aero in Taganrog Restored Affected Workshops After Neptun strike

The Russian Atlant Aero plant in Taganrog has resumed operations after combined strikes by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Satellite images were published by the Telegram channel Exilenova+.

According to the channel, the enterprise not only returned to its usual pace of work but also carried out a significant modernization of its facilities.

In addition to restoring roofs and retaining walls, the enterprise’s engineers installed new enclosed passages between individual workshops at the plant.

According to the War&Sanctions database of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU), the plant produces FPV kamikaze aircraft of the Molniya type, specifically the Molniya-1 and Molniya-2 models, as well as the reconnaissance version, Molniya-2R.

The company is also involved in producing components for Orion drones.

The company is located approximately 40-50 kilometers from Ukraine’s state border.

Ukrainian forces last hit Atlant Aero on April 19 using Neptun cruise missiles.

Local residents complained about strong explosions, after which thick black smoke rose into the sky in the area of ​​the plant.

According to Yuri Slyusar, governor of the Rostov region, the city was hit by a missile strike that damaged commercial infrastructure and caused a fire in the warehouse area.

According to later-published satellite imagery, the missile strike struck two workshops in the inner part of the territory: one suffered serious damage, and the other lost half of its frame.

On the night of June 26, the DIU hit a Russian MiG-29 at the Belbek airfield in Crimea.
