Czech company ProLab Engineering has presented a range of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV).
At the Future Forces Forum in Czechia, the company presented its Orbitron series of UAVs and the HECTHOR UGV equipped with TUKAN interceptor drones, Militarnyi reports.
The flagship of the lineup is the Orbitron 6000 reconnaissance UAV, which features a hybrid propulsion system.
The aircraft has a hybrid flying-wing/delta-wing configuration, a wingspan of 6 meters, and a rear-mounted pusher propeller. For vertical takeoff and landing, it is equipped with four separate electric motors mounted on longitudinal booms beneath the wing.
The aircraft is powered by a four-stroke horizontally opposed engine with electronic fuel injection and a 1,000-watt starter-generator. It also has an integrated Starlink terminal for communications. With a maximum takeoff weight of 70 kg, the aircraft can carry a 10 kg payload, cruise at 100 km/h and remain airborne for up to 24 hours, with an operational range of up to 2,000 km.
The smaller model in the lineup is the fully electric Orbitron 3000 vertical takeoff and landing UAV.
It has a similar aerodynamic configuration, with a wingspan of 3 meters and a weight of 10–12 kg. Its rear-mounted motor provides a cruising speed of 83 km/h.
Using high-density lithium batteries, the Orbitron 3000 can conduct monitoring and reconnaissance missions lasting up to 120 minutes.
To protect against aerial threats, ProLab Engineering has developed the mobile HECTHOR system.
The system is built around a tracked HECTHOR UGV equipped with electro-optical detection sensors and a deployable compartment integrated into its hull.
The vehicle houses a launch platform for TUKAN interceptor drones.
The TUKAN interceptors feature distinctive red airframes with swept wings and are equipped with onboard artificial intelligence for autonomous target guidance.
