A SSU`s counter-sabotage measures on the border with Russia: explosives, grenades and weapons were found

The Security Service of Ukraine conducts counter-sabotage measures near the border with Russia.

Dozens of weapons were seized during the operation and 150 people were barred from entering Ukraine, the SSU reported.

Currently, multi-stage trainings are being held throughout the country, during which a whole range of preventive measures is being carried out.

In particular, they are conducted to prevent and neutralize threats of intelligence and subversive activities.

The SSU reported that in just a few days of such work, an arsenal of combat weapons, in particular, more than 1 kg of explosives, firearms and ammunition, was seized from illegal trafficking. The facts of transportation of prohibited items in the border areas and near the maritime zone of Ukraine have also been established.

In addition, 9 people who were on the national wanted list for committing serious crimes were detained during the complex measures.

According to the SSU, 12 foreigners involved in subversive activities against the state security of Ukraine have been barred from entering Ukraine. 150 people were denied permission to cross the state border.

According to the Security Service, during the inspection of vehicles were found: 2 IED; 10 small arms; ammunition, including two RGD-5 and F-1 combat grenades. The seized weapons were sent for expert examination.

More than 170 criminal proceedings have been initiated on the revealed facts of illegal activity. The investigation is underway to establish all circumstances of illegal activity and bring to justice those involved.

The SSU reminds that the is conducting drills in all regions of Ukraine. Special attention is paid to the protection of state border and strategic facilities. Training is carried out in conditions as close as possible to real with the use of special equipment and weapons.
