15th Artillery Reconnaissance Brigade Destroys S-300 Command-and-Staff Vehicle

The 15th Artillery Reconnaissance Brigade “Black Forest” destroyed a Russian command-and-staff vehicle of an S-300P/PM surface-to-air missile system.

The brigade published footage of the strike on its social media channels.

The footage shows a loitering munition striking the side of the system, with the strike directed by a reconnaissance UAV.

The command-and-staff vehicle was likely a 5K76 variant (designated 5K76M in later modifications).

It is part of the 5N83 command center and is mounted on a specialized high-mobility wheeled chassis, such as the MAZ-543M, or on a heavy-duty semi-trailer.

The vehicle serves as a mobile command center from which the commander and operators control the combat operations of several S-300 surface-to-air missile battalions.

The command-and-staff vehicle receives data from surveillance radars, compiles a unified air-situation picture, determines target engagement priorities, and transmits target designations to the missile battalions.
