Ukrainian military intelligence has identified Russian servicemen who shell the territory of Ukraine with cruise missiles.
They are involved in war crimes and strikes on the Ukrainian civil infrastructure.
This was reported by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
DIU operatives and analysts identified the personnel of the command units of the 22nd Guards Heavy Bomber Aviation Division of the Russian Aerospace Force Long-Range Aviation Command.
This is a military unit #6987, a home airbase near Engels (the official name of the airbase is Engels-2) in the Saratov region.
The division is reported to include the 121st and 52nd Heavy Bomber Aviation Regiments:
Intelligence officers found that the personnel of the division were directly involved in the planning, organization and shelling of the territory of Ukraine by Kh-22/Kh-32 air-launched cruise missiles from Tu-22M3 long-range supersonic bombers and Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 from Tu-95MS and Tu-160 strategic bombers.
“It is these pilots who are responsible for the numerous casualties and destruction in Ukraine as a result of the criminal missile terror that they carry out from the territory of the Russian Federation,” said in a statement.
The list of identified Russian war criminals is available at the link from the DIU.
Intelligence also identified Russian servicemen firing Kinzhal missiles at the territory of Ukraine.
