Soldiers of the 3rd Assault Brigade destroyed an enemy artillery battery in the Avdiyivka sector.

The brigade’s press service reported on this.

During a night overflight, reconnaissance drones spotted four enemy D-30 howitzers and two more D-20 howitzers on the outskirts of the city.

In the morning, FPV drones attacked and destroyed the positions of Russian towed artillery.

The Russian artillery was detected by the soldiers of the Kryla company and neutralized by the soldiers of the UAV Group “Over Head.”

Militarnyi previously reported that the artillery of the 3rd Assault Brigade of Armed Forces of Ukraine hit Russian invaders during their attempt to move at night.

Invaders were attacked in the Avdiyivka sector when they were moving through a forest belt. The UAV detected the movement of enemy infantry.

The soldiers of the 1st Self-propelled Artillery Battalion of the 3rd Assault Brigade carried out the combat mission to destroy the enemy.

For this purpose, Ukrainian troops mostly used cluster munitions, which are more effective in destroying infantry, unlike high-explosive rounds.

Previously, on February 29, Militarnyi reported on the clearing operation in Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region, by the soldiers of the 3rd Assault Brigade.

Avoiding minefields, the brigade’s units entered the city on armored vehicles and started advancing through the streets.

The Russians were not going to leave their positions and were clinging to every house. They were being driven out by force, using small arms and grenades. In addition, tanks were engaged in the clear-up operation in the city.

As a result of the counteroffensive, the Russians lost over a hundred soldiers.
