The Russian military suffered serious losses in armor and personnel during the offensive in the Avdiivka sector.
DeepState analysts reported on this.
The team analyzed the changes in satellite images and recorded the loss of more than six dozen items of Russian equipment.
Almost all the equipment was destroyed on October 10-12 on the northern face of the Avdiivka salient near Krasnohorivka and at the entrance to the settlement.
Most of the advancing Russian equipment was hit on the approaches to the terricone (here) or in the convoy on the roads with the help of artillery and drones.
According to the Ukrainian military and blogger Kriegsforscher, just at one crossroads (here) were destroyed five Russian infantry fighting vehicles, two armored personnel carriers, including an old Soviet BTR-50, and a T-64BV tank.
These images show the scale of the mechanized “fist” used for the offensive and the success of its advance on October 10-12.
Having accumulated a significant advantage in artillery and armored vehicles, the Russian military was supposed to take control of the spoil tip, which is the dominant height, but failed to realize this and did not make significant achievements.
At the moment, it is impossible to calculate the number of neutralized manpower, but the amount of destroyed equipment allows us to understand the approximate order of losses.
As previously reported, Russian troops launched an offensive north of Avdiivka after intense artillery and air strikes on the morning of October 10.
According to the Ukrainian General Staff, the invaders conducted an offensive with up to three battalions. The aim of the offensive was to advance in the direction of Stepove and capture a height (spoil tip) for the tactical encirclement of the Avdiivka group.
However, Avdiivka is a well-protected Ukrainian fortified area that does not allow the invaders to advance further – since the beginning of the Russian invasion, the city has not been captured or surrounded.
