The Ukrainian Defense Forces received a large batch of drones within the Army of Drones project.
Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation, announced this on Tuesday, October 17.
He also posted photos of Ukrainian and foreign-made UAVs on social media.
A total of 840 drones for various purposes were delivered to the Ukrainian military in this batch.
The following were transferred to the front: 500 Mavic drones for aerial reconnaissance and fire adjustment of Ukrainian artillery and 300 Phoenix 03 Heavy FPV drones to destroy enemy observation posts, dugouts, and armored vehicles.
Ukraine’s military also received 40 Ukrainian-made Vampire drones to successfully hunt Russian equipment and manpower both during the day- and nighttime, for which the drones are equipped with thermal imagers.
“We are systematically delivering drones to the military and expecting new records from the UAV strike units of the Army of Drones,” Fedorov emphasized.
Previously, the Defense Forces of Ukraine received a large batch of UAVs for various purposes as part of the Army of Drones project in late September.
Back then, 1740 Ukrainian and foreign-made drones were handed over to the military, including Vampire drones, Phoenix FPV drones, high-speed Penguin and Avenger, and Mavic and Matrice drones.
In addition, the Defense Forces of Ukraine will receive Leleka-100 and EOS C reconnaissance UAVs.
Also, in August, more than 270 Ukrainian-made Vampire drones were sent to the frontline, which are used to destroy armored vehicles, fortifications, and enemy personnel.
The Vampire can carry up to 15 kg of payload in the form of various types of ammunition for dropping. The Ukrainian UAV can rise to an altitude of up to 400 meters.
