Many components from Switzerland, the United States, the Netherlands, and other countries were identified in the Russian Prince Oleg the Wise drone.

The captured drone was disassembled by a team from the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, which published all its components on the War&Sanctions portal.

The drone was developed and manufactured by the Russian Ushkuynik company, which is also known for producing Prince Vandal of Novgorod fiber-optic FPV drones and Osoed interceptor drones.

The unmanned aerial vehicle has a wingspan of 2.8 meters and a maximum takeoff weight of 11 kg. The tactical and technical specifications claimed by the adversary are: operational range of up to 45 km, flight endurance of up to 3.5 hours, speed of up to 130 km/h, and an altitude ceiling of up to 3,000 meters.

The UAV is equipped with two cameras: a forward-facing IP camera manufactured by China’s Shenzhen Zhongxi Security, and a gyrostabilized optical system D-80AI (PRC), which includes a three-axis gimbal, a wide-angle Full HD camera, and a camera with 10× optical zoom.

The system also features night vision capabilities, as well as real-time target detection and tracking using artificial intelligence technologies.

The flight controller is built on microcontrollers from the Swiss brand STMicroelectronics, manufactured in China and Taiwan, as well as on components from CUAV Technology.

For navigation in electronic warfare (EW) countermeasure environments, a four-channel CRP antenna is used.

The UAV’s propulsion is provided by two Chinese-made SunnySky electric motors mounted on the wing consoles.

In total, 33 components from the United States and 5 from Switzerland were identified in the drone.

Last year, Ukrainian forces actively shot down these drones on the Lyman front. In March of this year, Prince Oleg the Wise drones were actively downed on the Siversk sector.

“The aggressor state continues to develop its own weapons systems while maintaining access to foreign technologies through supply chains and intermediaries,” the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reported.
