Ukrainian Paratroopers Successfully Ambush Russian Armored Convoy near Maryinka

In the Maryinka area, Ukrainian paratroopers successfully executed an ambush on Russian armored vehicles, as revealed in footage shared by the soldiers of the 79th Air Assault Brigade.

Despite continuous attempts by the Russians to breach the defense lines of the 79th Brigade, employing a significant number of infantry and armored vehicles daily against Mykolaiv paratroopers, recent military operations saw the Ukrainian forces intercepting the invaders as they attempted to cross the road to Maryinka in armored vehicles.

The Ukrainian soldiers utilized artillery and Stugna anti-tank guided missiles to strike the armored vehicles. The Brigade reported that in one combat episode shown in the video, the enemy deployed 19 units of armored vehicles in an assault on the positions of the 79th Brigade, resulting in the destruction or damage of 15 armored vehicles by the paratroopers.

The resilience of the paratroopers’ defense was further bolstered by the exceptional training of anti-tank crews, who effectively halted the Russian equipment with precise and accurate fire. At least six armored vehicles were recorded in one location, either damaged, destroyed, or abandoned, with two managing to escape.

In another nearby location, the Ukrainian Defense forces also successfully destroyed an infantry fighting vehicle BMP-2 belonging to the invading forces.

Currently, a significant portion of the devastated city of Maryinka is under Russian occupation.

The ongoing offensive operations by the Russian Federation in the Maryinka region are part of their autumn campaign, aiming to extend control over the remaining areas of the Donetsk region.

Recently, Russian invaders’ armored vehicles were destroyed in the Donetsk region near the village of Novomikhailivka.
