It is reported that Polish intelligence officers detained a 47-year-old Ukrainian citizen in the Masovian Voivodeship.

“Based on substantial evidence gathered by the Internal Security Agency, the Mazovian branch of the Department for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Prosecutor’s Office has initiated an investigation,” he said.
“The detainee was brought to the Mazovian branch of the National Prosecutor’s Office, where he was charged with participating in Russian intelligence activities against the Republic of Poland.
The man allegedly confessed to his activities and explained this by his ideological views.
“The suspect confessed to committing the offense he is accused of and provided an explanation in which he described the ideological motives for his actions, stemming from his connections with Russia,” the prosecutor’s office reported.”
“The Warsaw District Court, at the prosecutor’s request, has chosen a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of a 3-month detention.
Such a crime in Poland is punishable by imprisonment from 5 to 30 years.
“Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, officers of the Internal Security Agency have detained 44 people on suspicion of espionage or sabotage on behalf of Russia or Belarus in Poland. They include Russians, Belarusians, Ukrainians, and Poles,” Jacek Dobrzyński shared.
Last month, Polish prosecutors detained a saboteur suspected of committing arson attacks in Warsaw on behalf of Russian intelligence services.
