The Defense Forces, members of the Territorial Forces and local residents should be careful when inspecting and transporting captured Russian military equipment.

There are many cases when the occupiers mine their abandoned equipment due to malfunctions, lack of fuel or damage.

For example, one of the mined T-72B3M tanks was found in Sumy region.

Such cases have been recorded since the first days of the large-scale offensive of Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine.

It is known that one person has already become a victim of such case.

«On February 28 around the village Shtepivka (Sumy region) the occupiers abandoned mined military equipment.

A local resident died while trying to enter it, ”the Interregional Emergency Response Center of the State Emergency Service said.

So people were warned to be vigilant and extremely careful with abandoned Russian equipment.

“Do not try to break into abandoned enemy equipment and do not touch the things left by the occupier,” the State Emergency Service asked.
