Many companies in Europe want to localize the production of Ukrainian engines for drones.

Oleksii Hrebin, CEO of Motor-G, told Militarnyi in an interview.

Ukrainian engines are seen as an alternative to similar products made in China.

In particular, this is due to participation in the European investment program SAFE, which provides loans to companies if they buy components made in Europe or in Ukraine, which is also part of this program.

Another factor is that Ukrainian-made engines are of high quality and operate in real combat conditions.

The CEO of Motor-G said that they are already working with some European companies and are discussing the possibility of creating joint ventures to localize production in Europe.

“We are thinking about it. We have not signed anything yet, but we are working. And we see a growing demand from European drone manufacturers,” said Oleksii Hrebin.

According to him, companies from all over Europe have expressed interest in cooperation. These are mainly drone manufacturers and companies working with components.

Currently, Motor-G has partnerships with 100 Ukrainian manufacturers and possesses a wide range of engines for FPV drones, bombers, and aircraft-type UAVs.

“We are the largest drone motor manufacturer in Ukraine. We are now scaling up and aim to take about 20-30% of the market. This is our goal, we are still on this path,” said the company’s CEO.

Recently, it became known that Motor-G engines helped to accelerate the interceptor drone to 400 km/h.

According to Mykhailo Fedorov, First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, more and more Ukrainian drones are being equipped with domestic engines and other parts. This helps reduce dependence on imported components.
