155th Mechanized Brigade Repelled Largest Motorized Assault of Year Near Pokrovsk

Servicemen of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade, together with neighboring units, repelled the largest Russian motorcycle assault in their area of responsibility since the beginning of the year.

This was reported by the press service of the 155th Mechanized Brigade.

According to the press service, the enemy took advantage of weather conditions and attempted to attack Ukrainian positions on motorcycles.

Ukrainian troops repelled the assault and inflicted casualties on Russian infantry and equipment. During the battle, 43 invaders were killed and another 12 were wounded. Nine motorcycles and one passenger car were also destroyed. Some of the damage inflicted on enemy personnel and equipment was captured in a video released by the brigade.

After the failed assault, Russian troops attempted to take cover in shelters. Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck 36 such targets.

The enemy supported its assault operations with drones. Ukrainian units destroyed 19 FPV drones, two FPV reconnaissance drones, and five Molniya strike UAVs.

The Russians had previously used motorcycles in attacks on the positions of the 155th Mechanized Brigade. Militarnyi reported on one such assault in the Donetsk region — at that time, the attack was repelled jointly with fighters from the 425th Separate Assault Regiment “Skelya.”
