Ukrainian forces launched a new series of strikes on Russian military logistics infrastructure in the northern part of occupied Crimea and on the approaches to it, targeting checkpoints, crossings and transport assets.
The 1st Separate Assault Regiment released footage of the operation, reporting the destruction of the Dzhankoy checkpoint, a railway bridge, a pontoon crossing, and trucks in the Chonhar direction.
The unit shared that it was starting systematic operations against enemy logistics routes from occupied Crimea and would block Russian attempts to restore disrupted supply lines.
The published footage captures a series of precision strikes on facilities used to support the movement of personnel, ammunition and materiel between Crimea and the occupied part of the Kherson region.
The targets hit included the Dzhankoy checkpoint, located on one of the key road routes linking the peninsula with the occupied mainland territories.
The bridge across the Promoyna Strait, which connects the Kherson region with the Arabat Spit and is used by Russian troops as one of the supply routes supporting forces in southern Ukraine, was also struck.
According to the Ukrainian military, Russian forces attempted to compensate for damage to the main routes by deploying pontoon crossings, but one of these crossings was also hit.
In addition to engineering structures, strikes were carried out against cargo trucks transporting materiel and supporting the logistics chain of the invading forces.
Volodymyr Saldo, the Russian-appointed head of the occupied part of the Kherson region, confirmed the strikes on transport infrastructure, stating that facilities were damaged and temporary traffic restrictions had been introduced.
Additional confirmation of the attack came from fresh satellite imagery published by Radio Liberty.
The images showed significant damage to the Dzhankoy checkpoint, as well as new signs of damage to the bridge across the Promoyna Strait.
Following previous strikes in the area, Russian sources reported queues of cargo trucks and the introduction of alternating traffic, indicating disruptions to occupation force logistics routes.
“The destruction of crossings, checkpoints and transport infrastructure on the approaches to Crimea can significantly complicate the supply of Russian troops in the southern theater of operations and force the enemy to seek alternative routes to support its units,” the 1st Separate Assault Regiment noted.
Recently, Militarnyi reported on a large-scale operation targeting Russian military logistics infrastructure on the approaches to occupied Crimea.
