The first MLS SHIELD armored vehicles arrived in Ukraine – Poroshenko

The first batch of MLS SHIELD armored vehicles arrived for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This was announced by Ukrainian politician Petro Poroshenko during the handover of 10 Autel drones to the soldiers of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade “King Daniel of Galicia”.

The donors managed to get the last license for the transfer of MLS SHIELD armored vehicles to Ukraine.

The first MLS SHIELD armored vehicles will be delivered to the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces.

“Those are the best-armored vehicles, I used to take a ride on them. You know, it’s like Rolls-Royce in the armored vehicles sector. They have an air conditioning, a special USB port, a sprung seat, very well-equipped landing sites, a powerful engine, not a civilian, but a military one,” Poroshenko said.

As previously reported, the Sprava Hromad NGO is purchasing armored vehicles for the Ukrainian paratroopers with the help of the Petro Poroshenko Foundation,.

On July 27, volunteers reported that they had to take out a loan to buy armored vehicles.

“We paid for the armored vehicles. Yes, we did not collect the necessary funds on time, we did not risk licenses and pay fines — we’ve got a bank loan and paid [for the vehicle]. Antonina Buzilo now has a printed payment check for $1,457,500 n the wall in a frame, with a little less than a million dollars loaned,” NGO Sprava Hromad said.

SHIELD armored vehicles produced by TENKE srl are a special version of a patrol armored vehicle with STANAG Level 1 or 2 protection, depending on the version.

The manufacturer produced the SHIELD as an armored vehicle for police missions or as a commander vehicle. This option is also suitable for units of rapid reaction forces.

Unlike many analogues, this armored vehicle does not use any commercial chassis.

However, according to the manufacturers, the chassis is 100% designed, manufactured and owned by MLS Mobile Land Systems.
