The Swedish government has presented its 21st military aid package to Ukraine, worth a total of almost €1.2 billion.
A significant part of these funds will be used to strengthen air defense capabilities and develop strike capabilities, according to the Swedish Ministry of Defense.
The package includes expanding a joint project with Ukraine to produce Ukrainian long-range UAVs worth €524 million.
In addition, funds have been allocated to two projects to provide Ukraine with unmanned surface vehicles for maritime operations.
Approximately €280 million has been allocated for the purchase of Swedish grenade launchers, shells, and spare parts. This includes the supply of a large quantity of long-range artillery ammunition and 120 mm mines. The purchase of various types of 40 mm shells for air defense systems is also planned.
It was previously reported that Sweden and Denmark, as part of the new aid package, will jointly procure Tridon Mk2 anti-aircraft gun systems for Ukraine for a total amount of about €226 million.
The package is divided financially as follows: Sweden is allocating more than €182 million, and Denmark is allocating the remaining €44 million. The total amount of funding will allow an entire anti-aircraft division to be equipped.
