Su-25 attack aircraft crashes in the Belgorod region, Russian Federation

A Russian Su-25 attack aircraft fell down in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation during a training flight.

It is reported by Ukrinform referencing Russian Interfax.

The pilot managed to eject.

The Western Military District of the Russian Federation reported that the crash could be caused by a technical malfunction.

“The plane fell down in an uninhabited area, there are no damages on the ground,” the WMD said.

Russian media report that the plane blew up and was completely destroyed.

In addition to the aviation losses on its own territory, the Russian military suffers war casualties in Ukraine.

Previously, the Ukrainian military shot down a Russian Mi-35М attack helicopter with the Igla MANPADS. The helicopter was shot in the Donetsk Region by the 231st Dnipropetrovsk Territorial Defense Battalion.

The Russian Mi-35М flew at a low altitude to avoid missile attacks. It was tracked by an observation post.

After the missile hit, the helicopter caught on fire and crashed into the field.
