Satellite Images Show Damage to Ammunition Depot Near Russian Bryansk

Fresh satellite images have emerged showing the aftermath of the destruction of Russian ammunition depots near the Russian town of Bryansk.

Radio Svoboda, which published the photos, reported they were taken on October 17, 2024, by the Planet Labs satellite.

The images show the aftermath of a Ukrainian drone attack on depots in the Bryansk oblast of Russia.

The attack on the ammunition depot took place on the morning of October 9, 2024, and according to official sources, involved 12 attack drones.

The published photos show that the attack destroyed two hangars measuring approximately 50 by 15 meters each.

The arsenal is located in close proximity to the town of Karachev, 115 km from the Russian-Ukrainian border. The arsenal’s coordinates are 53.140546, 34.956698.

The damaged facility is the 67th arsenal used by the Russian Ministry of Defense to store artillery shells, anti-aircraft missiles, and rockets for multiple launch rocket systems.

In addition, information appeared today that on the night of October 16, an arsenal of rocket and artillery weapons was attacked.

Telegram channel ASTRA reported on this with reference to local residents.

According to the channel, residents of the Serdobsky district of the Penza oblast heard explosions. There has been no official comment from local authorities. ASTRA has learned that several drones attacked an ammunition depot in the Serdobsk town that night.

The arsenal of rocket and artillery weapons of the military unit 58661-90 is located there. After the attack, a fire broke out on the territory of the arsenal, but it was extinguished within half an hour.

Serdobsk is about 550 kilometers from the contact line in Ukraine.
