Russians demonstrated their Su-25 being downed in Ukraine

A video from the camera of the Russian Su-25SM attack aircraft pilot, who was shot down by the Ukrainian military, was released online.

The footage captured the pilot of a single-seat attack aircraft losing control of the aircraft and ejecting after a missile hit.

The missile presumably hit part of the vertical stabilizer, which caused the aircraft to lose control during the turn and start collapsing.

The identification of the downed Russian aircraft determined that it had the number “09 red.”

This loss of the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation was not previously reported. The incident occurred during the battles in the summer of 2022.

The pilot ejected at an altitude of 200 meters, which is quite low for ejection. It is possible that he received injuries.
