Poland’s WB Group Joins Founding Companies of EU–Ukraine Drone Alliance

Polish defense company WB Group has joined the founding members of the EU-Ukraine Drone Alliance, a new platform established to foster cooperation between drone manufacturers from the European Union and Ukraine.

The alliance brings together 18 founding companies – nine from EU member states and nine from Ukraine. All of them are actively involved in developing unmanned technologies and helping build Europe’s drone manufacturing ecosystem.

WB Group President Piotr Wojciechowski said the war in Ukraine has demonstrated the need for close cooperation between defense manufacturers and the military to rapidly improve unmanned systems.

“The war in Ukraine has shown that the development of unmanned systems must be based on the exchange of knowledge between industry and end users. The EU-Ukraine Drone Alliance creates a mechanism that will allow this experience to be applied at the European level,” he said.

The alliance is intended to enable its members to jointly define technology development priorities, prepare recommendations for future European programs, and work together to build shared industrial and operational capabilities in the field of unmanned systems.

Militarnyi previously reported that Ukrainian drone manufacturer TAF Industries had joined the EU-Ukraine Drone Alliance as a founding member.
