The Ukrainian P1-SUN JetKiller interceptor drone, manufactured by SkyFall, destroyed a Russian Geran-5 jet-powered UAV.
SkyFall told Militarnyi about the interception.
Operators of the Lasar’s Group unmanned systems unit of Ukraine’s National Guard intercepted the target.
During the combat mission, the crew also used a remote control system developed by SkyFall that allows operators to control the interceptor over the internet while remaining at a considerable distance from the launch site.
The company previously integrated this system into P1-SUN family interceptors. In particular, in June 2026, at Eurosatory, the company unveiled the P1-SUN Long with an integrated AI module, which also supports remote control from any location with a stable internet connection.
SkyFall presented the JetKiller in July 2026 at the Farnborough International Airshow. The interceptor can reach speeds of up to 370 km/h, has a flight range of up to 30 km, can operate at altitudes of up to 9 km, and can remain airborne for up to 15 minutes. Its warhead weighs 500 grams.
The interceptor can be equipped with day or night cameras, as well as an AI module for automatic target detection, tracking, and acquisition. The guidance system can detect a target up to one kilometer away.
In September, Russian forces began using a new modification of the Geran-5 equipped with an autonomous optical navigation system and a modified fuselage design.
According to official data from Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence, the Geran-5 is about 6.5 meters long, has a 3.2-meter wingspan, and a maximum takeoff weight of up to 850 kilograms. Its warhead weighs about 90 kilograms, while its cruising speed is 450-600 km/h. Its flight range is about 950 km.
In September, the Defense Forces demonstrated several successful interceptions of similar aerial targets using various Ukrainian systems. In particular, on Sept. 28, a crew of the 1020th Anti-Aircraft Missile and Artillery Regiment destroyed a Geran-5 that was traveling at about 425 km/h when it was intercepted.
SkyFall manufactures several Ukrainian unmanned systems, including interceptors, Vampire heavy strike drones, and Shrike FPV drones. In August 2023, more than 270 Vampire strike drones were transferred to the military as part of the Army of Drones project.
The company developed a separate line of specialized interceptor drones in the P1-SUN family. Their use against jet-powered targets was first reported in late 2025, when a P1-SUN destroyed a Russian jet-powered Shahed.
In May, P1-SUN interceptors shot down Russian Gerbera drones carrying FPV drones.
