In Poland, as part of the Brave Tiger exercises, military personnel and medics trained to save lives on the modern battlefield, taking into account Ukraine’s experience.
RMF24 reported on this.
The training, held at the Drawsko training ground, involves a thousand servicemen and dozens of medics.
Among other things, soldiers practiced evacuating the wounded from the front line, while doctors – both military and civilian – familiarized themselves with the operations of a field hospital.
The aim of the exercises, organized by the 12th Mechanized Division of the Polish Armed Forces, is to introduce civilian doctors to the specifics of military medicine and real medical procedures in combat conditions.
“We prepared a series of mock-ups. These are typical combat injuries, including torn wounds and damage from artillery shells,” said Brigadier General Dariusz Czekaj, Commander of the 12th Mechanized Division.
He emphasized that those exercises were based on Ukraine’s experience. Polish military personnel are trying to recreate situations that most often occur in modern wars.
It is noted that the civilian doctors who had participated in the training had taken the military oath a few days before and had officially become reservists.
As previously reported, a former Polish volunteer with the call sign Bur, who served as a military medic in Ukraine for two years, was refused service in the Polish army.
