Ukrainian long-range drones successfully hit the Vtorovo oil pumping station near the village of Maryinka in Russia’s Vladimir region.
The Exilenova+ Telegram channel shared videos of the strike.
The attack took place overnight from May 23 to May 24. At 12:04 a.m. local time, officials in the region issued a warning about a possible drone attack.
Later, around 7 a.m. local time, residents began reporting heavy smoke in the area of the oil pumping station.
Based on photos and videos from the scene, the source of the thick black smoke was identified as the Vtorovo station.
The station is located at coordinates 56.175150, 40.964695 and belongs to JSC Transneft Verkhnyaya Volga.
Its main function is to pump diesel fuel directly into the Moscow Ring Oil Product Pipeline. The facility supplies a significant share of automotive fuel for Russia’s capital region.
The station is involved in Russia’s large-scale North infrastructure project, which is designed to transport Euro-5 diesel fuel from Russian oil refineries across the country and onward for export through Baltic Sea ports, including the Primorsk oil terminal.
The facility had been targeted before. In September 2025, a Ukrainian Liutyi long-range drone struck the Vtorovo pumping station.
The strike hit a technological trestle carrying fuel pipeline infrastructure, as well as signal and power cables.
The first attack on the Russian energy facility occurred a week earlier, on September 7, when drones from the 14th Unmanned Systems Regiment struck fuel storage tanks on the premises of the Vtorovo oil pumping station.
Militarnyi previously reported that Ukrainian strike drones attacked the Grushova oil terminal in Novorossiysk.
