Drones Hit Wildberries Logistics Centers in St. Petersburg and Simferopol, Sparking Massive Fires

On the morning of July 24, Ukrainian drones struck two Wildberries logistics centers – one in St. Petersburg and another in the Leningrad region.

The strikes were confirmed by videos published by Exilenova+, as well as statements from the company and local authorities cited by Astra.

Overnight, Ukrainian drones also targeted a Wildberries sorting center in Simferopol, in Russian-occupied Crimea. The strike triggered a major fire at the facility.

Initial reports indicated that a Wildberries warehouse in the village of Novosaratovka, the Vsevolozhsky district, of the Leningrad region (the Utkina Zavod industrial zone) had been struck and was on fire.

The logistics center is located just beyond St. Petersburg’s administrative border and is commonly referred to as the Wildberries St. Petersburg warehouse, as it serves the city and is situated immediately adjacent to it.

Later, reports emerged that another Wildberries warehouse had been hit by drones in Shushary, located in St. Petersburg’s Pushkinsky district.

Wildberries confirmed that two of its warehouse complexes had been damaged, stating:

“Operations at the Wildberries logistics centersin Shushary and Utkina Zavod have been temporarily suspended.”

The Shushary logistics center is one of Wildberries’ largest logistics hubs in northwestern Russia, covering approximately 106,000 square meters. It serves as a key processing and distribution center for goods destined for St. Petersburg, the Leningrad region, and other parts of Russia’s Northwestern Federal District.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces reportedly used long-range FP-1 drones developed by Fire Point to carry out the strikes. During the attack, Russia scrambled fighter aircraft. Leningrad region Governor Alexander Drozdenko claimed that Russian air defenses had shot down 59 drones.

Drozdenko also said that drones struck a warehouse complex belonging to the Severnaya poultry farm in the settlement of Sinyavino, the Kirovsky district, of the Leningrad region, causing part of one of the warehouse buildings to collapse.

In addition, a Wildberries warehouse in Simferopol was attacked overnight. The company later confirmed the strike, stating that employees had been evacuated.

“The company’s sorting center in Simferopol was evacuated in accordance with safety requirements,” Wildberries’ press service said.

During the night of July 22, Ukrainian drones struck two Wildberries logistics centers in Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk, in Russia’s Stavropol Krai.

Earlier, on July 18, drone strikes hit Wildberries warehouse facilities in the Moscow and Tambov regions. On the night of July 20, Ukrainian drones also struck an oil depot and four logistics warehouses near Moscow.
