On October 31, 2025, as a result of a special operation of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, the Koltsevoy petroleum product pipeline was put out of service.

According to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, this pipeline provided the Russian occupation forces with resources to wage war against Ukraine.

The critical military infrastructure facility is located in the Ramensky district of the Moscow region.

Despite the presence of an anti-drone net and the protection of the facility by paramilitary groups, all three lines of the pipeline – for the transportation of gasoline, diesel fuel and aviation kerosene – were simultaneously blown up. The pipeline has been completely decommissioned.

The Russian side promptly sent special services and repair crews to the site of the explosion. However, the extent of the damage makes it difficult to restore the facility quickly, which creates logistical problems for the Russian army.

The Koltsevoy petroleum product pipeline is 400 km long. The fuel came from the Ryazan, Nizhny Novgorod, and Moscow refineries.

Each year, it could transport up to 3 million tons of jet fuel, 2.8 million tons of diesel, and 1.6 million tons of gasoline.
