Coordinates of the attack on the guided missile corvette Ivanovets have been revealed

Approximate coordinates of the defeat of the Russian guided missile corvette Ivanovets, during the attack of naval drones of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine on February 1, 2024, have become known.

User X (Twitter) – D. mojavensis – conducted the relevant research.

Using an official video of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, he was able to determine the approximate location of the Russian guided missile corvette and the time of the attack.

Thus, the user was able to spot four stars on the released video: Betelgeuse, Tianguan, Elnath, and Hassaleh.

Thanks to the stars, the user determined the approximate time of the attack on the Russian guided missile corvette using an online service that determines the time, using the approximate location.

According to him, the approximate time of the attack on the Russian corvette was 03:44 am.

He also used lights of coastal settlements, which can be seen in a video footage, to determine its approximate position. The author identified them as Morske and Marine.

Thanks to a detailed analysis, it was possible to determine the approximate location of the attack. According to the author of the research, the coordinates, where the guided missile corvette sank, are 45.3106, 32.8153.

As previously reported, on the night of January 31-February 1, 2024, soldiers of the Group 13 special unit of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine destroyed the guided missile corvette Ivanovets of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

As a result of a series of direct hits to the hull, the Russian ship sustained damage incompatible with further movement. The guided missile corvette Ivanovets heeled to the stern and sank.

The footage shows how, after one of the drones hit, several more hit the same spot, significantly widening the hole in the side. Presumably, another successful hit was on the stern of a vessel.

It should be noted that the crew of the Project 12411 guided missile corvette consists of 40 people.
