The marine drone that Greek fishermen discovered in western Greece turned out not to be a Ukrainian Magura drone.
UFORCE, the manufacturer of these drones, shared this with Militarnyi.
The drone was caught off the southern part of the island of Lefkada in the Ionian Sea.
The fishermen secured the vessel and towed it to the port of Vasiliki, where they handed it over to the Greek Coast Guard.
Initially, Greek officials identified the marine drone as a Ukrainian Magura V3, according to the Greek publication Kathimerini.
Following this, information began to spread in the international media that it was allegedly a Ukrainian Magura marine drone.
“As the sole manufacturer of Magura-class unmanned surface systems, UFORCE has every reason to state: the vessel found near Lefkada is not a Magura drone. Although it bears a superficial visual resemblance to Magura-type systems, its design, construction, and apparent technical specifications do not correspond to any option in our product line. Furthermore, UFORCE has never produced a V3 version—such a model does not exist,” a UFORCE representative told Militarnyi.
