A powerful explosion occurred at the airport of occupied Kherson

A powerful explosion occurred near the airport in occupied Kherson.

Kherson Telegram channels are publishing photos and videos of the aftermath of the explosion in the direction of the village of Chornobaivka.

According to locals, a column of smoke can be seen from different parts of the city.

The reasons for the explosion are still unclear.

It was previously reported that from the beginning of the occupation of the city, the Kherson airport became a place of concentration of considerable forces of the Russians. The Ukrainian army repeatedly attacked Chornobayivka.

Resulting from several such strikes, Russia lost a significant number of helicopters and other equipment.

However, given the importance of defending Kherson from the Ukrainian counteroffensive, the Russians cannot leave the territory and are forced to remain in the zone of fire damage by Ukrainian artillery.
