3DTech has unveiled the Hydra Predator Reboff, a system designed for the simultaneous control of multiple fiber-optic FPV drones.
The company shared the details with Militarnyi.
The Hydra is an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) consisting of a ground control station (GCS) and up to five Predator fiber-optic FPV drones manufactured by 3DTech.
The system enables synchronized drone launches, allowing operators to conduct coordinated mass attacks, ambushes, and maintain a high operational tempo during engagements.
It supports integration with the Delta situational awareness system and the Vezha platform, while also employing artificial intelligence (AI) for target detection.
The ground control station (GCS) is housed in a rugged, impact-resistant case and features a 19-inch monitor. It is equipped with an Intel Core i5-based computer, 16 GB of RAM, and a 256 GB solid-state drive (SSD).
The system can be powered by a standard 6S battery. Signal transmission is handled via a digital SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) transceiver, providing an operational communication range of up to 80 km.
To accelerate AI inference, the system is equipped with a dedicated Hailo-8 AI processor.
The Hydra supports the simultaneous connection of up to five drones. The operator can rapidly switch control between them while also displaying live video feeds from all connected aircraft on a single screen.
The package includes an optical time-domain reflectometer, fiber-optic connector cleaning tools, an optical power meter, spare propellers, battery mounting straps, as well as sets of screwdrivers, wrenches, hex keys, and cable ties.
The system can be operated either directly from the ground control station or remotely.
During operation, the ground station continuously monitors the quality of the fiber-optic communication link.
Hydra is already available for procurement through the DOT-Chain and Brave1 platforms.
