The national system of automated troop management DELTA will be implemented at all levels of command in the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

The relevant decree was signed by Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal.

From now on, DELTA will become a single source for exchanging operational data – the system works from laptops, tablets and smartphones, and is already used by commanders of various levels.

The platform is being scaled up, and new functional modules are being developed in parallel.

The minister did not specify the timeline for full-scale implementation at all levels, nor did he say how this would be implemented.

The military is likely to receive tactical tablets or smartphones with the system pre-installed. The issue of integrating DELTA into armored vehicles also remains open.

DELTA is a combat digital ecosystem that provides a technological advantage for the Ukrainian army: it allows real-time visibility of the situation on the battlefield, planning of operations and data exchange between units, brigades and groups, and, if necessary, with allies.

The system has successfully passed an information security test and proved its effectiveness in combat, including during the defense of Kyiv in 2022, operations to destroy the Russian Black Sea Fleet, the liberation of Zmiinyi Island, and the de-occupation of Kherson.

The national automated control system (ACS) is a full-fledged digital ecosystem that combines a number of functional modules.

Key among them are secure chat and Deltamonitor, a digital map that displays the location of own and enemy forces in real time. The system can be deployed on a soldier’s computer or tablet.

The system also includes Vezha, a battlefield video analysis platform that provides real-time drone imagery, and the Target Hub module for planning and coordinating fire missions.

The Target Hub allows you to create targets, assign them to performers, and exchange data directly on a digital map.

Recently, the system was supplemented with the Mission Control module, which allowed for effective interaction between unmanned systems operators and higher headquarters. It has made it possible to allocate areas of responsibility, plan crew routes, and coordinate UAV operations with electronic warfare and air defense units.
