In the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship of Poland, local residents discovered a Gerbera decoy drone during agricultural fieldwork.
Wiadomosci.dziennik reported on this.
According to preliminary information, the drone did not carry any explosives or a warhead and did not pose an immediate threat. Moreover, the discovered UAV is already the 20th Russian drone found on Polish territory.
However, given the potential risks associated with the use of drones in border areas, local police and military authorities are conducting a thorough investigation.
“As reported by the Voivodeship Police Headquarters in Olsztyn, on Tuesday around 3:00 p.m., the police in Działdowo received a report that a combine operator had discovered an object resembling a drone while working in a field in the Płośnica commune,” the police statement said.
It is worth noting that on that day, September 30, there were no reports of any aerial objects violating Polish airspace. This may indicate that the drones could have entered the country during the drone attack on Ukraine on September 10.

Following this incident, Russian drones that had violated Polish airspace during the large-scale missile and drone attack on Ukraine began to be found in Poland.
In addition, on September 21, drone debris was discovered in several locations across the Masovian and Lublin Voivodeships in eastern Poland.
