Paratroopers of the 46th Brigade repulsed the Russian assault on the Mariinka direction

Paratroopers of the 46th Separate Airmobile Brigade repulsed a hostile assault attempt on the Mariinka direction.

A video with the destruction of enemy equipment that took part in the assault was published by volunteer Serhii Sternenko.

During the assault operations, the enemy allocated a relatively large amount of armored equipment that was supposed to deliver enemy infantry to the positions of the Ukrainian defenders.

Tanks took part in the assault, which were supposed to cover the enemy infantry and support it with fire. In addition, some tanks were equipped with a boiler mine trawl to more effectively overcome minefields.

Infantry fighting vehicles, namely BMP-2 and BMP-3, also took part in the assault. Large protective structures were installed on tanks and IFVs, which, according to the Russians, were supposed to protect them from discharges from drones and FPV-drones.

Thanks to the high skills of drone operators from ‘Zliuki Bobry’ strike and reconnaissance drones unit managed to detect the enemy column in a timely manner and destroy a large amount of equipment.

The repulse of the assault took place in the Mariinka direction of the Donetsk region, where the soldiers of the 46th Brigade inflicted heavy losses on the enemy.

The Brigade has been maintaining its defense in this direction for a long time, and the enemy does not abandon attempts to carry out organized assault actions to capture Ukrainian positions.

As previously reported, in early June 2024, paratroopers of the 46th Separate Airmobile Brigade repulsed the largest enemy assault for the entire period of their stay in the Mariinka direction.

It is reported that the Russians conducted an assault on June 13. They attracted 28 pieces of equipment to it.

The brigade’s aerial scouts detected the enemy’s movements in time, and its forward forces began to suffer losses in minefields on the approaches to the Ukrainian positions.

Almost simultaneously, the soldiers of the brigade launched a combined attack on the forces of the invaders with the help of artillery, anti-tank missile systems and drones.
