The airport is located in the south of the city, at a distance of about 20 km from the city center.
Currently, Russian Mi-8 and Mi-24/35 attack helicopters are deployed at the airfield of the Luhansk Aviation Technical Museum.
The museum is located on the southern outskirts of the city, near the aircraft repair plant.
