In the Luhansk region, the Russian aggressor troops have suffered losses on the approaches to Sievierodonetsk but did not stop.

This was stated by Serhii Haidai, Luhansk Regional Military Administration Head on Facebook.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the railway bridges between Rubizhne and Sievierodonetsk to hold the enemy back.

The enemy continues to carry out offensive actions in the Luhansk Region. Battles are raging almost round the clock.

Yesterday, on May 15, Russian troops were storming Toshkivka and Komyshuvakha. In Borivske, which is located not far from Sievierodonetsk, they suffered losses and retreated.

“Russian invaders are suffering significant losses in terms of manpower and military equipment. Russian units are manned at 20% only. Russians cannot handle the Popasna direction on their own and, thus, they are uniting with private military contractors. Thanks to the people of Bilohorivka, there are not so many Russian orcs left anymore,” Haidai noted.

According to the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Head, Ukrainian defenders blew up the railway bridges seized by the Russian troops between Rubizhne and Sievierodonetsk to prevent the Russian occupation forces from advancing towards Lysychansk and Sievierodonetsk.

As a result of this successful operation in the Luhansk region, the SOF of Ukraine, in cooperation with other units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, have destroyed communication routes in the enemy’s rear.

The Command of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Russian-seized railway bridges were blown up.

Luhansk region is constantly under fire from the Russian invaders, many houses, infrastructure, educational institutions, and hospitals were destroyed in the region.

Currently, 10% of the region remains under Ukrainian control. As of the beginning of March, this figure was approximately 30%, said Serhiy Haidai, Head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration.

The most dangerous directions in the Luhansk region are Sievierodonetsk on the wat from Popasna and Bilohorivka (Lysychansk-Bakhmut highway). Breakthroughs here might allow the invaders to encircle the region, stressed the Head of Regional Administration.
