Ukrainian Ravlyk Ground Drone Equipped With Large-Caliber Machine Gun

A Wolly 12.7 combat module with a heavy machine gun has been integrated into the Ukrainian Ravlyk logistics drone.

The DevDroid company reported that as a result, the mobile platform, called Droid Raw 12.7, can now perform not only logistics but also reconnaissance and strike missions.

The Droid Raw 12.7 has all the characteristics of a combat module, including integration with the M2 Browning 12.7 mm machine gun.

It is stated that the remotely controlled Droid Raw 12.7 is now capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 1 kilometer.

For target detection and navigation, the drone is equipped with narrow-angle, wide-angle, and thermal imaging cameras.

It also has special software for targeting and engaging targets.

It inherited from the Ravlyk its quiet running thanks to an electric motor, special all-terrain tires, and high cross-country ability, even in difficult terrain.

Since 2023, the Ukrainian DevDroid company, a developer and manufacturer of systems, has been successfully creating Wolly turrets for use with KT-7.62 (PKT) and M2 Browning 12.7 mm machine guns. The same combat modules are installed on mobile platforms.

This solution is already being actively used at the frontline for combat and reconnaissance missions, helping to reduce risks to personnel.

Last year, the Ministry of Defense codified and authorized the use of Ravlyk, a Ukrainian-made universal mobile platform.

The declared carrying capacity of the Snail is 200 kg. However, back in March 2024, when Militarnyi filmed a story about the testing of ground drones, the developers reported the possibility of a larger load over short distances.

The range over rough terrain is 20-25 km. The speed on public roads is up to 6.5 km/h, and on the ground, up to 5 km/h.
