During the DIH Naval Forge 2026 Ukrainian-Nordic conference, Ukrainian company NOAH presented its Harpoon small unmanned surface vessel (USV).

A NOAH X representative shared the Harpoon’s technical specifications with Militarnyi.

Designed for the challenges of modern warfare, the platform can operate either as a standalone strike asset or as part of coordinated multi-USV missions.

According to the company representative, Harpoon is the company’s first product. It has already undergone combat testing, during which it successfully struck Russian forces’ targets, and it is currently undergoing the official codification process.

The unmanned surface vehicle is approximately 2 meters in length, has a gross weight of around 100 kilograms, and can carry a 30-kilogram payload.

The platform is powered by a waterjet propulsion system, enabling a maximum speed of 35 km/h and an operational range of 40 kilometers. In standby mode, the Harpoon can remain on station for up to 48 hours.

“It can approach its target very quietly – either slowly or at high speed – from distances of up to 40 kilometers, and carry out a mission our enemy certainly won’t appreciate. We designed it primarily as a kamikaze USV: its main task is to reach the target, complete the mission, and not return. We also have an alternative hull configuration featuring a dedicated cargo compartment for delivering food, ammunition, and other supplies to our troops, thereby serving as a logistics platform. Over water, where air transport is unavailable or extremely difficult to employ, using crewed vessels to move supplies is not ideal. Our foremost priority is to preserve the lives of our personnel,” the company representative said.

In addition, the drone’s design supports other mission configurations, including integration with a sonar system for seabed mapping.

The unmanned surface vessel is controlled using the Droid Box universal control system developed by DevDroid. Communications are maintained through three parallel communication channels, allowing the operator to switch between them within a matter of seconds.

The Ukrainian-Danish Defense Innovation Highway (DIH) platform, the Association of Maritime Drones, and the Innovation Directorate of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the support and personal involvement of Brigadier General Andrii Lebedenko, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, jointly organized the event. Militarnyi served as the event’s media partner.

In total, the conference brought together more than 300 defense leaders, military representatives, government officials, and defense technology developers from over 20 countries. The program consisted of two main components: a conference and a live capability demonstration of unmanned systems, alongside an exhibition featuring nearly 20 Ukrainian and European companies specializing in naval drones.

During the conference, participants also discussed tactical challenges and new approaches to the use of maritime unmanned systems. These topics were addressed in two closed panel discussions.

The panels included representatives of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 412th Nemesis Brigade of the Unmanned Systems Forces, the defense companies Sargan, Vyriy, and STARK, the Ukrainian Council of Defense Industry, and investors.
