The Ukrainian Defense Forces have begun firing Palianytsia drone missiles at the military depots of the Russian military.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced this during a conversation with journalists, Ukrinform reports.

According to the Head of State, there have already been “dozens” of uses of this Ukrainian weapon on enemy targets.

“The Palianytsia drone missile has already begun to hit enemy military depots in dozens of cases. This is positive, because we had different moments, now we are not talking about isolated cases,” Zelenskyi said.

Only recently have some of the characteristics of the modernized Ukrainian drone missile Palianytsia, which was presented at the MSPO international defense exhibition in Poland in early September, been reported.

With a length of 3.5 meters, its wingspan reaches 1.7 meters, and its gross weight is 320 kilograms. Of this weight, a third – 100 kilograms – is accounted for by the combat unit.

“The Palyanytsya has a claimed range of 650 kilometers, which it can cover at a maximum speed of 900 km/h using a turbojet engine. The flight altitude varies between 15-500 meters. Takeoff is carried out using a solid rocket accelerator.
