Ukraine Signs Contract with France for Radars and SAMs — Macron

Ukraine has signed a contract with France to supply air defense radars and SAMs.

French President Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this, following their meeting in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

“We are strengthening its air defense with the signing of a contract for the delivery of radars, as well as the supply of interceptors,” Macron stated.

The French president did not specify the types or quantities of radars and interceptor missiles, or the delivery timelines.

Militarnyi previously reported that Ukraine was expected to receive another SAMP/T SAM system and new air defense radars from France in the fall.

SAMP/T systems use Aster 30 missiles. France and Italy have agreed to accelerate deliveries of the previously agreed number of these missiles to Ukraine and have also authorized their licensed production in Ukraine.

In addition, Italy is preparing to provide Ukraine with additional Aster 30 missiles. They are expected to be included in a new military aid package.
