Powerful explosions took place in the occupied city of Nova Kakhovka in the Kherson region.

There is no official information on the cause of the explosions in the temporarily occupied settlement.

However, users on social networks report that the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the ammunition depot of the Russian military.

The released videos also show a strong fire and detonation of ammunition.

It is reported that the explosions began around 16:40. Then a huge column of thick smoke rose into the sky.

Nova Kakhovka is a city of regional subordination in the Kherson region, in the south of Ukraine.

Nova Kakhovka is located on the left bank of the Dnipro River, a few kilometers downstream from the city of Kakhovka.

Since the end of spring, no Ukrainian mobile operator has been operating in occupied Nova Kakhovka, and the invaders have also restricted the activities of Internet providers.

Those who stayed in the occupation are reasonably afraid that in case of their departure, houses will be taken away from them, settling the relocated Russians there.

The Russian military actually occupied the Kherson Region during the first week of the war.

Hennadiy Lahuta, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, believes that the reason for the rapid occupation of the Kherson region was the huge number of Russian troops who stormed the region.

The official is convinced that Ukraine would not have been able to restrain the army of invaders at the beginning of the invasion.
