Satellite imagery shows damage to storage tanks, pipe racks and the ELOU-AVT-5 crude distillation unit at the Ilsky oil refinery.
Telegram channel Exilenova+ published images of the aftermath of the recent strike on the refinery.
AVT-5 units are designed to process between 1.5 million and 3 million tonnes of crude oil per year.
The facility was struck on July 10. It is located in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai. Eyewitnesses posted videos on social media showing flames and smoke rising above the refinery.
Local authorities claimed the fire had been caused by falling “UAV debris.”
The Ilsky Refinery (KNGK-INPZ LLC) is one of the largest privately owned oil refineries in the region.
It plays an important role in supplying fuel to both the domestic market and export markets. The refinery is located in the village of Ilskaya, Seversky District, about 30 km from Krasnodar.
The refinery specializes in primary crude oil refining and the production of petroleum products, including diesel fuel, gasoline, fuel oil, and bitumen.
The refinery has a design processing capacity of about 6.6 million tonnes of crude oil per year.
It is also an important link in supplying fuel to the Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine and Russian military units in the Southern Military District.
In addition, units of the Unmanned Systems Forces struck 28 Russian vessels in the Sea of Azov on the night of July 11.
The targets included 21 tankers, four tugboats, two dry cargo ships, and one specialized vessel. In total, Ukrainian operators recorded 73 confirmed hits.
