The Ukrainian company Aidrones and Sweden’s Njord Technology have signed an agreement to launch production of the MAUL ground robotic system in Sweden as part of the Build with Ukraine initiative.

Militarnyi reported this from the Eurosatory exhibition.

The companies first established contact in 2025. Swedish firm Njord Technology specializes in autonomous systems, as well as ATVs and snowmobiles.

Aidrones CEO Konstyantyn Hushcha told Militarnyi that the location for the future production site has already been selected. It is located beyond the reach of Russian Shahed-type strike drones.

Most of the systems produced are expected to be delivered to Ukraine to meet the Defense Forces’ needs for unmanned medical evacuation platforms.

The MAUL project was initiated following a request from the 1st Medical Battalion of the Armed Forces, which needed a mobile vehicle to evacuate wounded personnel under difficult combat conditions. The system is equipped with an armored capsule, and its chassis is designed for high endurance and survivability, capable of withstanding significant mechanical loads.

The range on paved roads is up to 110 kilometers, and off-road up to 100 kilometers. Maximum speed reaches 50 km/h on roads and up to 40 km/h on rough terrain.

The tactical radius of the system is up to 50 kilometers. Onboard systems can operate autonomously for up to 48 hours, while continuous movement can last up to 5 hours.

MAUL is equipped with an internal combustion engine running on A-95 gasoline. Fuel tank capacity is 15 liters.

Fiber-optic lines, satellite communication channels based on low-orbit satellite systems, LTE, and Wi-Fi can be used for communication. Integration with DTC, Silvus, Himera, and other systems is also provided.

Situational awareness is provided by an optoelectronic system with day-and-night surveillance channels and a resolution of 1280×720 pixels.

The total weight of the system is 620 kilograms, with a payload capacity of 200 kilograms. A crew of two is sufficient for operation.
